What is glass?
Glass is mainly made of sand, soda, and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.

Designer thoughts
Designer thoughts
“When we designed the glasses for IKEA 365+ we were inspired by our own everyday lives, but we also looked at global trends. The result is a series with a simple but functional design above all. The idea is that you will use them in your home every day, 365 days a year. The fact that all the glasses can also withstand warm drinks makes the series very useful. Why not serve dessert in the low glass or coffee in the big one? The possibilities are endless!”
