    For best possible result, wipe clean and treat the surface regularly with ABSORB leathercare set.

    Treatment tends to make the leather slightly darker, so always test the result first on a piece of the leather that is not easily visible.

  • All leather in IKEA products is chrome-free since 2017. This prevents any risks of chrome VI which can be harmful to workers in production and to the environment when a product reaches its end-of-life.

That’s why we only use by-products from the food industry and we have requirements for traceability to slaughterhouses, thereby ensuring ethically correct slaughters. The materials are then treated so that they’re usable for home decoration products. In this process we don’t allow the use of chrome, which is potentially harmful to both humans and the environment.
