Product details

Ample storage space is hidden neatly under the bed in 6 large drawers. Perfect for storing quilts, pillows and bed linen.

Soft-closing drawers run smoothly, slowly and silently.

Storage in the headboard saves space and makes it easier to access boxes or drawers under the bed; and it’s easier to vacuum too.

The soft felt pad absorbs sound, protects from scratches and keeps small items in place.

You can choose where to position the boxes and shelves since they easily slot into the headboard’s grooves.

You can hide cables for lamps and chargers by feeding them through the holes at the back of the shelf.

You decide the height of the headboard since it needs to be mounted to the wall.

NORDLI headboard is assembled and mounted on the wall in just a few steps.

Easy to bring home since the headboard is divided into two pieces.

Mattress and bedlinens are sold separately.

Coordinates with other furniture in the NORDLI series.

Fits mattresses 59-63" wide and up to 79½" long.

May be completed with FIXA stick-on floor protectors to protect the underlying surface against wear.

Slatted bed base is included, a midbeam is not required.

Each headboard includes 2 shelves (12x10⅝x4") and 2 boxes (9½x4x4").

Functional and prettyNELLYI love this bed frame and headboard. The instructions were simple and while it has many pieces, was not complicated to put together. I broke up the assembly into three days only because I was doing it by myself and only after work. The drawers are spacious and the space in the middle under the mattress is nice for storage as well. The mattress doesn’t slide around even though there are no edges to contain it. I love it!5
Pain to put together butSinsilPain to put together but we are loving it so far.4

Easy, beautiful organizationKATEThis bed did not take very long for 2 people to put together. The drawers were easy, and so was the headboard. We did have a handyman hang the headboard on the wall, since our new house is concrete block construction, and we arrived here without a level or other basic tools. I don’t like taking up space in a small bedroom with a chest of drawers, and these 6 underbed drawers take up no extra room and hold all we need, with space to spare. It eliminates the need for nightstands, since the generous size hanging shelves and bins are big enough for water bottles, book, phone, iPad, etc. AND, it’s beautiful to boot!5
Great bed but comes with some caveatsNancy C.This is a great bed-frame. But it does require some special know-how in the assembly. I’m lucky enough to have a family that has knowledge in home building and furniture assembly and a family that loves me enough to do it for free. If you’re a newbie to stuff like this like me, I would actually not recommend this bed. Pros: 1) Very modern looking, which I like 2) Sturdy and the storage space is awesome, especially for my small space 3) headboard is very practical, I can store my glasses, water, tissues and my phone Cons: 1) major engineering flaw with the slats. I read earlier reviews that said the mattress sags in the middle. You can see the issue when you assemble the frame, there’s not enough support. We followed a Youtube video that remedies this but it require separate wood planks to be made and drilled together with the frame. If you do not have the know-how to do this, your bed won’t work as well as mine - it’s not the easiest bed to assemble. We messed up 5x before finishing4
The headboard....Anna H.The bed is amazing and the set as a whole looks great. However, the headboard took forever to figure out. We had to drill our own holes in the beams because they don't line up with where the studs were in the wall. Besides my boyfriend and I almost killing each other trying to put this thing together it looks really nice.4
Love itKateBeautifully modern, very functional and well made.5
Great for looks and storageManaliIf you are looking for a storage bed this is a good bed. I had to request task rabbit assembly. But it looks great. You don’t need side tables. I love it.5
Great bed, bad headboardROBERTThe bed went together pretty easy and provides a lot of space in the drawers. The headboard is horrible though. It's heavy and there's no mention that you have to mount this huge thing to a wall. The size of the anchors you'll need will prevent you from ever moving the bed around without leaving huge holes in your wall. The holes provided in the wall mounts don't line up with the joists either, so using bolts in the joists is out of the question in most American homes.4
Wasn"t sure about this at first.DENISEIf you get this bed, be sure to get someone experienced to assemble. Bed came in 6 boxes! Also, it mounts to your wall! BUT, my teen son loves it, no need to buy a dresser or night stands! This bed was everything my son needed and wanted. It was worth it! (Yes, I did hire someone to assemble- he was great!)5
From Twin to KingJosephWe decided to redo one of the bedrooms and loved the look of the NORDLI. The instructions were fantastic and having the headboard attached to the wall is great. We took advantage of having 2 twin beds and used NORLI to convert to a king size bed.5
Great for a small room!YVONNETook a while to put together and not super clear instructions. Helpful to use U Tube instructions along with it. It took 8 hours, including the head board. End results were very nice. Love this bed! Looks great against our blue wall. Love the drawers! Also like that we don’t need night stands, makes the room feel bigger.5
Love it!!!NydiaLove it!!!5
Love it!AnjuliI love this bed so sleek and modern. The drawers are deep and spacious5
Love it!STEPHANIEI really love this bed frame! It elevated my whole space. The storage on the headboard is incredibly useful and adds to the overall feel. And allll the storage underneath is spacious and easy to access. I’m so glad I purchased this!5
King size, blackLindahaving 6 drawers underneath saves having a dresser in a small space. Very functional with side table attached to headboard5
Great modern lookSilviaI love the way it looks and all the storage. It is a whole bedroom set in one. I might have not chosen it if I knew beforehand that the headboard hangs on the wall. Also, of all the furniture pieces from IKEA that I have put together this one had the highest complexity level. Having said that, it has a nice modern look and doesn’t feel or look cheap. Very happy with this bed frame.5
Great Purchase!KinzaHi Everyone, This bed has been a space saver for our master bedroom. We needed something with storage underneath since we were upgrading to a KING Size mattress and our current bedroom isn't the biggest. Assembly was pretty easy but I also have an engineer for a husband who is super handy! It took us about 2-3hrs to get it all together. The drawers are big and spacious and fit all the things I had in our previous bedside tables. The shelves are super nice and we are looking into getting some wall lighting since lamps take up too much space. The only thing I would caution that my husband noticed is that the slats that go under the mattress are really not the greatest. In the future we will either be putting more slats to stabilized our mattress so they don't bend or getting some particle board.5
Very nice bedLynnVery happy with our purchase. My husband said it was very easy to put together and well made.5
Nordli bed reviewMathiasThis bed is really nice and we love the design! We like the bed board behind the frame where the drawers hang on each side. It's a great modern touch to the design. We love the three drawers on each side for storage. We also like that the bed is low enough to the ground, which is one of the reasons we bought this bed frame. The only thing negative that we did notice is that there is a slight creaking sound when you turn over but other than that it's solid.4

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA, we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

Material

What is fiberboard?

Fiberboard is a stable and durable material made of leftover wood from the wood industry. A durable outer layer of paint or laminate is added to the board. The difference between various types of fiberboards, such as HDF and MDF, is mainly the thickness, yet also how impact-resistant they are – and this determines what we use them for. So regardless if it’s a bed, a wardrobe or your new bathroom cabinet, the leftover wooden fiber becomes a resource instead of going to waste.
