Love it!RobertaI bought two of these wardrobes, one for each bedroom, since there are no built-in closets in my Oregon beach cottage. I love them! They are taller than most available, sturdy, and look great. I changed the door handles and it was easy to drill the additional holes needed. The right side shelves are perfect for my sweaters - now I can see what I have instead of having to search through multiple drawers. Extra linens and duvets are stored on top in colorful large bins - admit my cat Curry loves jumping up there from a nearby bureau to sleep so washing will be needed before using them: a small price to pay for a happy kitty. I assembled these myself with no help though a second person to lift it from the floor at the end would have been helpful. I highly recommend this wardrobe. Tip: Don't add legs - I did that with one to allow clearance for a heating floor vent and they slightly damaged one side of the bottom. All I would have had to do was leave off the lower front panel during assembly to allow for the floor vent. I've since removed the legs and the lower front panel.5

Little damageLILIAMCame with a little damage but I didn’t want to send it back3
I love it!CathyMy wardrobe went together quickly and painlessly. I only needed help to lift it up! I am a firm believer in Ikea's family of furniture makers. I bought dressers 20 years ago. They've made it through 4 moves. Ikea sure does their background on producers. Thank you Kleppstad and Ikea!!!!5
It was pretty simple toJosephIt was pretty simple to set up, just the doors needed alot of adjustment3
CarlottaFelipeThis wardrobe was easy to put together. It fit the area for which it was bought perfectly. One very minor issue that I had was with the knobs. They were plastic and plain. I purchased other knobs that helped to elevate the piece. I plan to purchase another one soon.5
Looks greatSusanIt is a wonderful piece but the single door was warped and looked funky on. I took it off and made the shelves open with baskets. Looks great!4
Storage ClosetBarbaraEasy assembly. Directions were clear, and concise. Storage unit looks as described in images. I bought two and placed them side by side to create a clothes closet in a small garage apartment. I wish there were additional shelving 20x30 for larger half of closet for sweaters, folded clothing, and shoes. Ill purchase a separate shelf rack.5

Spacious!Crazy cat lady2020I just bought 2 of these and had someone put them together. It took him about 3 hours for each one. The directions needed time to decipher. It has a lot of space and is very sturdy. I gave it a 4 because there is a slight gap between the doors and the handles were very hard to put on. I would still recommend if you don’t have a closet or need more storage. I have never bought from ikea but the product is well made and I expect will last forever.4
Nice little wardrobeLuke420It took me an hour and a half to put it together. I wish pieces had #s on them. It would have been easier but pictures provided wasn't too bad. It is good for a room that doesn't have a closet. I chose this model because it doesn't have drawers instead it has shelves which worked great for my needs.5
AnayleiGreat and Nice product I recommend it5

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA, we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

Material

What is particleboard?

Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill waste – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a valuable resource instead of being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look. The day your sofa or bed needs replacing, the material in the particleboard can be recycled into something entirely new.
