The top panel of the TV bench is intended for a TV with a maximum weight of 110 lbs.

Perfect size for 75 inch tvRebeccaExactly the size we were looking to put under a 75 inch tv.5
SimpleLISAEasy to put together and super versatile. We can use it in so many ways. We have one side with a door and the other open shelves for ventilation for TV equipment5
Great Entertainment CenterDougThis piece is great. It was easy to assemble and looks great. I like the versatility of the configurations and the different door styles. Great purchase.5
Missing holesElizabethIt was great until we realized one side of the media center was missing holes for a shelf after already put it together and since we had no way of getting it back to the store ai just had to deal with the problem myself1
Perfect for usSAMANTHAThis has made an excellent entertainment stand for us so far, and we plan on adding some more pieces to it to give us shelves for our gaming consoles and knickknacks. Assembly far pretty easy, my only criticism is the the back piece is one of the flimsy ones and it was a little difficult to slide into place. Overall a great product and purchase!4
Sturdy TV cartFRANCISSturdy, easy to assemble TV cart for TV's of width < 48 inches. We bought the two separate shelves which fit in nicely. Also purchased 3 pairs of legs which raise the cart 4 inches off the floor. Very happy with it.5

Do not buyCHRISTINE Y.It is impossible to put together using included hardware.1
Check the panels for predrilled holesAlvaThings were going well until we rested that one if the center panels was defective. There were no predrilled holes for shelves on one side and no holes for the interlocking anchors to hold the top in place. Building this piece was an absolute nightmare. The thought of taking it all apart and returning it to ikea was upsetting. We ended up drilling a hole for a shelf that can only be placed in one position. It’s frustrating to say the least. The piece looks good but doesn’t function as expected because of the way the panel was constructed. Such a shame. I think there needs to be more inspection before packaging of mass produced pieces like this. No way would I recommend this piece.3
Perfect TV StandCarolineThis was perfect for what we needed. It fits the TV on top and I love how you can add shelves if you want. It's very simple which is exactly what we were looking for and it didn't cost a fortune5

Not what I expectedAminNot what I expected5
Not the BestaElizabethSo far pretty disappointed with our besta system. Needlessly complicated instructions and pieces. The backboard piece is very flimsy and incredibly difficult to slot into place without damaging it. Several of our pieces were damaged straight out of the box, so we couldn't even finish assembly. Don't feel particularly confident it will hold up to the test of time, unlike other units we've had.2
Besta Media UnitJanetLooks good. Like the doors appearance.4
PerfectJudyWe were able to mix fronts on the basic console. Perfect blend of dark and light wood.5

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA, we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

Material

What is constructed board?

We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light and resource-efficient, yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fiberboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.

Function solution

Conceals all cords

BESTÅ TV unit has cord outlets at the back that makes it easy to conceal all your cords while still keeping them at hand. And the cord outlet at the top lets cords run smoothly even if your TV is mounted on the wall.
