Product details

Of course your home should be a safe place for the entire family. That’s why hardware is included so that you can attach the chest of drawers to the wall.

Designed to be used both on its own throughout the home and is also a perfect fit with other furniture in the HAUGA series, either to coordinate the style or create bigger storage solutions.

Thanks to the distinctive look and smart design, furniture in the HAUGA series works well on their own and even better together. The flat, smooth sides create seamless units when pieces are placed next to each other.

A versatile piece of furniture that you can use in many different rooms in the home.

Maximize your storage and create a coordinated look by building your own HAUGA storage combination.

The characteristic top shelf is a common feature in the entire HAUGA series and adds to the traditional style. Regardless if you use it for hats, boxes, or decorations, the edge keeps your things in place.

A wide chest of drawers gives you plenty of storage space as well as room for lamps or other items you want to display on top.

If you want to organize inside, you can complement with interior accessories from the STUK series.

The frame is easy to assemble thanks to the construction with a wedge dowel that easily clicks into the pre-drilled holes.

Different wall materials require different types of fixing devices. Use fixing devices suitable for the walls in your home.

The drawer holds about 12 pairs of folded pants or 20 T-shirts.

Feels kind of cheap andSamuelFeels kind of cheap and I don’t except it to last long for my teen boy.2
destroyed in assemblyAI have been too the hardware store for repair parts. I have been pleased with IKEA furniture purchases in the past, and have had little to no difficulty with the assembly. A plastic peg broke and tore out part of the fibreboard hole in which it was to fit. So, to the hardware store to buy metal corner pieces. I really wanted this piece and have waited years for it to come back into stock at my local IKEA.2

Great productDIGNAI ordered this product because I just moved into a small apartment and had only one closet in the hallway for the entire house meaning I had little to no space for cleaning products tools shopping carts you know all the extras so I got this to go into the entry of my apartment as a entry storage table space, I utilize this storage unit to hold my extra cleaning products curtain towels bathroom curtains etc. on the top I utilize it to hold my mail some picture frames candles etc. I wish I was able to upload a picture to show you that I did not put the bottom whiteboard in front and back what I did was I ordered from IKEA white legs called (capita )and attach them to give it a higher height .5

Hauga DresserMARKVery clever design. Straightforward to put together. High quality5
Smaller than it appearsLia S.I bought the Hauga 6-drawer dresser online and put in the time assembling it. I was disappointed to find that the drawer fronts are deceptive about how much they hold; the inside of the drawer is much shallower. That would make sense in a child's dresser, but this wasn't in the kids' department. I won't be able to fit many adult sized clothing items. Ikea was reliable as usual with including all the necessary pieces and hardware. Assembly instructions were adequate. Sadly the bolts that in the past used to be made of metal are now plastic. It's a cute item, well-priced and seems likely to stay together, but altogether a disappointing purchase.3

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA, we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

Material

What is particleboard?

Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill waste – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a valuable resource instead of being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look. The day your sofa or bed needs replacing, the material in the particleboard can be recycled into something entirely new.
