A should haveOscarIt’s a beautiful piece more space than expected.4
Cheaply made but functional & stylishTAMERA L.This dresser is the perfect addition to our cozy minimalist aesthetic but in all honesty, once it's put together the drawers are not the smoothest because there's no actual railing connecting the drawer to the structure; it's just wood (drawer side) sliding on plastic (structure side). I think it will do fine though.3
Too small all aroundMegan B.We have a Malm dresser in one room and thought this would be a good choice for a smaller room. But we were very disappointed. The drawers have a safety mechanism that prevents them from being pulled out. Great, but it also means the drawers don't open very far. Also, the drawers are incredibly shallow. My teenager couldn't fit more than two pairs of pants folded in a drawer. Plus the drawers aren't on runners, so it feels like grating every time you open them. Overall, might be good for young kids or if you don't need to actually put much stuff in the drawers. But otherwise this is not a good choice.2
It’s a great dresser, IDianIt’s a great dresser, I only false is a hat it take a while to install, instructions can be better.4
Great product and easy toHaseebGreat product and easy to assemble on your own.5
Looks good on paper and even my single one looked good. This one.....JasonI had bought this to replace it's siblings (single drawer set) but for some reason this one just didn't get the job done like it should've. The main reason I'm giving this a 2 star rating is solely based on the directions and labeling or lack of labeling.2
Great storageTracyThis is something I needed a little storage in my office and it works amazing5
Beautiful color, but a pain to put togetherRoudelineI purchased this for my daughter’s room. I followed the instructions and assembled. It was little difficult to put the drawers in and one keeps coming apart. Other than that it, serves its purpose.4
I like it very gooHawraaI like it very goo5
breaking :(Zionna G.The dresser looks sleek and nice, but the wood is breaking and it hasn’t even been a year yet. I have to be very careful when opening the drawer or else the whole front comes off bc the pieces on the side cannot stay put due to the wood being shredded. If I could return it I would.1
Lots of pieces but prettyesmeraldaLots of pieces but pretty easy to assemble. Very sturdy5
Careless manufacturing resulting in a glaring eyesore.Judy S.The predrilled holes for the top two drawer brackets (located inside the frame of the 6 drawer dresser) are off measure - when fully assembled the dresser drawers do not line up evenly. All attempts to adjust these brackets accordingly have been futile.1
Second Guessing QualityCASSIE M.I work at IKEA and it is sad to say that I am a little disappointed in this product. Overall the assembly is fairly easily, however it does leave out key tips that would be helpful. The plastic rails require a mallet to help push them into applicable holes, however the book only mentions screwing them in. Also, several of my rails were a centimeter or two off causing it not to even go into the holes therefore not being able to fit my drawers in properly.3
A Good ThingDamianBought this for my son's room, it is fairly easy to put together if you can follow instructions. I do recommend reinforcing the drawers; for my son, we put clear silicone in and around the inside and bottom to give it some hold so it does not bottom out. Overall this is a nice dresser, just thought it might be a little taller.4
For the money this is EXCELLENTJamesWent together very easily and it is worth every penny.5
Very impressed!JUSTINFor the money you will not find a better dresser. I was really worried about the drawers being stiff and not opening smoothly. I have been pleasantly surprised the system they have works great.5
Arrived ChippedAntonia H.One of the pieces arrived chipped and I’m unable to assemble it.2
Doesn"t last very long.Thuan N.It has only been less than 6 months since I bought and assembled it. Put nothing in the drawers, only a flat screen TV on top and it already sagging in the middle now.1
Awful qualitySADIAThis thing chips in several places during assembly. Not a long lasting product. Since it was in the back , we didn’t bother returning . It’s now difficult to unassemble & return. The nails keep popping out in the drawers n they are small . Great for a baby but not adults. Can’t fit too much of things in it.1
Very easy to assemble. LovingPAMELAVery easy to assemble. Loving it so far5

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA, we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

Material

What is particleboard?

Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill waste – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a valuable resource instead of being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look. The day your sofa or bed needs replacing, the material in the particleboard can be recycled into something entirely new.
