Great dresserAdamNo, it’s not the best dresser out there. However, it is a good looking dresser that does the job for a good price. It would be nice if they had finished edges of some of the pieces of wood that you can’t see. For example, when you close a drawer that is full of clothes, they can catch on the rough edges of unfinished wood which can leave particles of wood in the drawer. Maybe finish the edges of the bottom of the dresser as well, considering it feels like it slowly chips when moving the dresser. Other that that, you get what you expect for the price.5

Quality has gone downhillSTEFANIEI have bought, built, and used multiple Malm dressers over the years. I recently purchased 4 of these to have a matching set. The quality has gone way downhill unfortunately. Every drawer seems to struggle to glide smoothly. The pre-installed rails were not screwed in flush, but screwing them in tightly still did not solve the problem. Our years old Malm dressers outperform these any day. Yes Ikea has a year long return window, but we live an hour and a half away and after spending two weekends building these, I am not looking forward to disassembling and returning. We will likely keep them and deal with the low quality, but if you are relying on past good experiences with these, you may be out of luck with any new purchases.2

The most common veneer types are birch, ash, oak, and beech, and we’ve made a special UV lacquer that helps preserve the wood's natural structure. A benefit with a slightly thicker veneer is how you can repair and sand the surface if it’s damaged to give furniture a longer and more beautiful life.
