Classic ikea icon , consistent qualityDeannaI’ve had 2 Glenns through 5 homes, in 10 years, and just bought another to complete my breakfast island. Love t these chairs! They break down into a flat box nearly the size of a helmer broken down, they last FOREVER ! They wipe down, no rust, clean lines, indestructible with kids. I don’t like the higher price point, however….but I’ve had my first two for over a decade, so I can’t complain, actually. They match much in decor, even though they are more modern in style, they tend to be the backdrop in aethestics, very consistent and clean uncluttered look. :) Love! I’ve had kids , teens, adults, try to break these without success. I’ve used them in creative craft rooms to sew, moved them countless miles and then some, they scrub down with ease, even with the worst gunk …so don’t let the white finish worry. Get some! Super easy to build as well.5

Quality/Design issueNAVNEET K.Bought 4 stools in June 2021. The metal threaded insert is embedded at the bottom of the plastic seat, which makes it vulnerable to break. If one of the four gets damaged, this stool cannot be used. Would have been better designed for durability. Ordered online and collected from local store. I had one of the insert broken and upon complaining Ikea shipped just the the seat in a week. So all four are good for now, however, time will tell how strong are these to last at least few years as these are pricey ones.2

Choose the right height of your bar stool so that it is comfy to sit on, offers plenty of leg room and is proportionate with the rest of your space. Kitchen counters and counter-height tables typically range from 34-36" from the floor. To find the perfect stool for your counter, look for a seat height of 23-26". Tabletops or counters that measure between 39-42" from the floor, are typically classified as "bar height”, and require a seat height of 28-30".
