Nice design but top easily scratchedSarah S.I bought this to use as a standing desk, and it works great for that (I'm 5'7"). It's lightweight but sturdy once it's put together. As others mentioned in their reviews, the top is just a painted board and scratches incredibly easily. Since this is a desk used by one person, that isn't a dealbreaker, but I still plan to cover the surface in waterproof contact paper.4
Beautiful kitchen island/sitting areaAshleyI brought this to break up the space in my kitchen living room area. This added the seating I need for my space.I still haven’t brought stools for this but 2 is all I need. This go well with my kitchen now and is slightly taller than my actual quart countertops. Taller by about an inch. Assembly is fairly simple the issue I came across was tightening the screws. Follow the actual correct order for adding to legs. But once together it’s very sturdy. As with 95% of ikea furniture you cannot have heavy liquid spills. I would look into getting a think plastic mat that is the same dimensions of the countertop to keep it from getting damaged. With that being said I would not recommend for a space where kids will utilize this table.5

Nice looking (at first)GbeckI love my ikea, but this piece was a disappointment. I love the wooden legs and the overall style. But the top, as many others have said in their reviews, is not durable. It scratches fairly easily and just over 9 months after purchasing this table I’ve already come to grips with the fact that I’ll probably replace it within 2 years of purchase. I think it’s worth mentioning that it’s just been used by my husband and me, no kids, so I can’t even imagine how quickly it would get beat up with children in the picture.3

Nice design but low quality table topnestlewaferIts design is beautiful but the table top quality is very unflattering - the paint scratches easily with light use. Worse more, the exposed surface would absorb moisture then bougle out. Now it looks like the surface of the moon.1

Fantastic Replacement for Traditional DeskMandyLouMy husband and I bought 2 of these tables to replace our traditional office desks. We did a complete home office makeover and these are fantastic for both working from home and for art/craft space. He draws and I do paper crafts so these are perfect! There is enough space underneath for additional storage drawers if you need and it doesn't cramp the leg room. Very sturdy construction and easy to put together. And they look great!5
Scratches and bubbles easilyMedin00dThis table looks great, but with just a light year of use, it shows many scratches and bubbles. It seams very old and used. We don’t recommend it. Not sure if IKEA has already implemented a better paint to this “bar” table. If so, please let us know!1

Stylish and PracticalSophie1992This table meets many of my needs. It functions as a standing desk and a dining table. It's incredibly cute and will liven up any room. I purchased the Fanbyn bar stools to complete the set and I could not be happier with that decision. As a side note, the table was much easier to assemble than the bar stools, so be prepared to possibly have some sore hands from how resistive the screws can be.5

Fiberboard is a stable and durable material made of leftover wood from the wood industry. A durable outer layer of paint or laminate is added to the board. The difference between various types of fiberboards, such as HDF and MDF, is mainly the thickness, yet also how impact-resistant they are – and this determines what we use them for. So regardless if it’s a bed, a wardrobe or your new bathroom cabinet, the leftover wooden fiber becomes a resource instead of going to waste.
