It took some time toBERNARDINEIt took some time to assemble. It is neat and nice to look at. It’s a good space for the baby.4

Great but one pretty significant flawSheena M.I love this crib for the simplicity of it, it is sturdy, durable and we never worry about our baby teething and possibly getting from chewing on the wood. The issue we have is with the head and foot boards. They are thin and our when our baby even slightly nudges them they make such aloud sound, It has scared all of us awake more than a few times. By now we are sort of used to it and she sleeps through it but it wakes us up every now and then. Also, with buying mesh "bumpers" , this style makes it difficult to find and choose the correct fit.4
Would be 5 stars except for one thingTerrellI really like the overall look and sturdiness of the crib. It's very modern looking. BUT, it has a warning printed on both sides in this dot matrix font. It does NOT come off easy. I got it off with alcohol and some serious rubbing but I had to knock a star off for that. Should've been a sticker.4
Value of your money is herePedroVery good quality and a beautiful design. Easy to assemble. I love it.5
Great but wordingKyleOn the two ends of crib there are stamped on words and labels. Tried our best to hid them but either way you see them.4
Pure and simpleVirginiaI wanted a crib that would fit through a standard US door, as we planned to use this in a guest room when the need arose, and store it in another room when not in use. Too large by the smallest fraction, but if we remove the door we can move it out. Otherwise, the crib is everything we need: practical, very sturdy, clean design, safe. Fits any standard US crib mattress. There is a printed safety decal along one entire end rail.4
Best baby bed ever!!DEBORAHBest baby bed ever!!5
painting falling off after using for 6 monthsclzzWe bought this crib shortly before the birth of our first child, based on the price and reviews. Our baby just turned 6 months and is able to roll around in the crib and grab the rails. We have noticed the painting is falling off, but today we saw our baby waking up with some fallen painting on his legs and even neck! We tried to call IKEA several times today but every time it ends up directly with a message 'sorry we can't take your call because of high volume customers calls...'., which makes us wonder if IKEA customer svervice is really back online or not. The local stores are still closed because of the ongoing pandemic. It seems at this moment that we can't get in touch with IKEA for a solution.1
Great value comparable to higher end furnitureEm_ElInitially bought this crib as a temporary bed for my second child while transitioning my older one out of his Pottery Barn crib. But I have really fallen in love with this crib, its design and sturdy construction, and baby #2 will stay in this new crib long term.5
nice cribDec 3I am the Grandma and needed a crib for visiting baby, not sure if this was for home use I would have made same selection, limited in height options, but for my purpose, very nice5
Simple and sleekMomo BI bought this crib for my first grandchild. It’s simple and sleek design makes it attractive to any nursery. My only request is that the railing have a plastic protective cover. If you don’t have the cover on it will be easy for the paint to be knawed off.4
Simple and Sturdymombot3000I bought this for my son almost two years ago. We are converting to the toddler bed tonight. It’s been an excellent crib at a great price point. No complaints. It even survived moving between houses!5
Sturdy and solidShajPerfect standard sized crib! Sturdy and solid! Easy to put together, has 2 heights plus concerts to toddler bed. Also perfect sized slats for mobile hanging! Very happy with purchase!5
Really easy to assemblyAndy1987Love the material, very firm and steady5

Does the jobSmidgkinBought for my granddaughter so that she can visit easily. Also bought matching change table cupboard to make nursery complete. It is a nice straightforward design and she sleeps well in it.5
Good priceChelse33880Bought a month ago for my 20 month old and he really likes it so far no problems, my husband had no trouble putting it together.5
Beautiful for BabyTeacher GailI bought this white crib for a grandbaby due next month and another due in the fall. This crib was put together by task rabbit. It looks sleek and modern, beautifully simple.5
just as good as a $300 cribjesstillaThis crib is sturdy and looks good. It is exactly the same as a $300 crib, just cheaper. Sometimes with ikea, you get what you pay for. In this case, you get a high quality product for 1/3 the price. If you're in doubt, I recommend that you go for it.5

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA, we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

Material

What is solid wood?

Solid wood is one of our favorite materials and is part of our Scandinavian heritage. It is also a timeless material with many uses. Regardless of the wood species, it is durable, beautiful, renewable and recyclable. We strive to use this raw material as smartly and efficiently as possible to avoid waste – and we also invest in facilities and logistics so that we can increase the use of recycled wood. This way, every tree is put to good use that little extra.
