Missing parts, no help from customer servicekelsey722I purchased this table over a month ago. Yesterday, I received only the underframe to the melltorp table. I did not receive the melltorp tabletop, or the adde chairs. I've called customer service and spoken with 2 people (after waiting about an hour each time), only to be transferred and then hung up on. It is impossible to send an email to customer service about this issue, and I don't think I can bear to call customer service again. I'm extremely dissatisfied with Ikea's customer service at this point.1

After leaving in lobby, had to carry box up flight of stairs with damage soggy box dropping pieces from bottom. There was a review a woman wrote about using the cardboard that came with it for some of the steps at the end to make everything even and it worked perfectly! The feature which makes the table top appear to float looks great and the chair are surprisingly comfortable. The table was easy to assemble and all the parts needed where included. I am now thinking of buying a set for our office - highly recommend.5
Missing hardwarescrewedbyscrewsI took a gamble and ordered regardless of the reviews warning of missing parts. I saw that customer service had responded to poor reviews and thought maybe the issue had been solved... When I received my table, the box was so destroyed, I was barely able to get it up the stairs to my apartment without everything falling out. The table was surprisingly not damaged, but there was no hardware in the box. I called immediately to request some and was told it would take 7-14 days for them to ship it, with additional days for the actual shipping process. It has been two full weeks and I have not even heard from Ikea that my hardware has been shipped. How does the table arrive within 2 days, but the correction of an error is not met with any sense of urgency?? OVER TWO WEEKS TO SEND ME 10 SCREWS. Like everyone else said, it's not worth the trouble and dealing with the poor customer service.1
Read Every Review- Not Worth The HassleJacquelinePAfter seeing this item rated poorly with reviews I decided to give it a try and put a little faith in Ikea to not mess up another order. Tell me exactly how you all manage to ruin every order when it come to this 2 top table??? There’s not even enough items to deliver to screw this up but guess what? I spend up over $80 for this table and 2 chairs after shipping and handling along with tax to receive a table top! No legs, no screws, no chairs???! How difficult is it really to package it all up and put everything in a box. To make it worse, I call customer service and I’m hung up on. Next time I’ll spend extra money elsewhere (probably Target) but at least everything will come together correctly!!1
Damaged table and missing partslinamapeI just bought this table set and what a terrible experience! First it arrived 3days later than the expected day. The package got extremely damaged and the product as well. Not enough, when I tried to see if at least I could get this done because I need a table asap, it was missing parts. Exactly as picturedJaime79I put this together in about an hour, using only a screwdriver and hammer. One chair was hard to get the top back piece down the pipes...I had to use a hammer to hit them down. But overall, it was pretty easy. Its a cute little, clean dining set which is perfect for what I needed. The table is pretty heavy which is nice and the chairs are comfy.4
Factory Defect & Bad Customer ServiceJ_A_I bought the METLLTORP/ADDE table and 2 chairs set in person when a friend of mine rented a UHAUL. I just moved to Chicago and don't have a car, so I jumped at the opportunity. Upon my return home, when I tried to assemble the underframe and table together, one side of the legs fit right but the other legs were too large for the table and refused to take the screw. I had friends over for a second and third opinion and try to build the table but there is definitely a factory defect. When I called IKEA to see if they would mail me a new underframe they said I would have to pay a delivery fee and were overall rude. Now I'm left with a bunch of ill-constructed pieces. Thanks.1
