solidifies the bed for vigorous activitiesJimmythesmitzIf you use your bed for various night time activities... i.e. not sleeping ...this will make it more solid.5
Do I need this?ATRNCSometimes I feel like the 30 years of my adult life have all been furnished by IKEA. I pride myself on navigating even the most complicated assembly diagrams, with no words needed. But my IKEA bed frame left me completely confused as to whether or not I needed this support leg. Some online research led me to think I did, so I went back to the store (which has not always been an option when I've lived hours away) and got the support leg. I suppose it is holding up the center of my bed, but I do not know what would happen if I had not included it. This confusion is a first for me with an IKEA product, and it was very frustrating when I was in the middle of putting the bed together.3
Sue BaldwinGreat strong support for bed.5
It supports!KureaaWe bought a bed in June and had to go back to the shop to pick up the support leg. We didn’t realize we needed it until reading the instructions. But it does do it’s job and supports the middle of the bed really well! It was easy to attach, also.5
Excellent Purchase!DkdhWorks perfectly and zero issues installing! IKEA rocks!5
SALMAB72I love the fact that they're adjustable5
Holds my bed up fineRunthebearThis piece is necessary for the bed frame I bought a couple months ago. That bed is still solid and comfortable so I guess it works! I'm not sure why this support leg is listed separately from the furniture pieces that need it, but it's solid, well made, and NOT OPTIONAL. If the parts list says you need this thing, get it.5
A Waste of MoneyXiannaI bought this piece for my bed because they said it was necessary. It started causing problems straight from the beginning, and I ended up just taking the piece off and throwing it away. It damaged my main bed frame underneath, and literally did nothing. Waste of money.1
Not an option for a wooden frame.e2vanhornWe bought this to support the center of our new wooden box frames for our king bed. Similar in function to the center stand of a traditional metal frame that supports twin spring box frames. this did not last the night. Shifting caused the wood (where it was attached) to splinter as it rolled forward. We ended up buying the additional corner legs fro the center portion.1

A must haveKaseykI found out this is a must have if you have a bed frame over the size of a full.4

What is steel?

Steel has unique characteristics when it is stretched and shaped since it remains strong. It provides strength to everything from skyscrapers and cars to bed frames and outdoor furniture. The steel industry is moving in the direction of more energy-efficient production and stronger steel qualities. It doesn’t lose any of its properties when recycled and today steel is one of the most recycled materials in the world.
