Great shoe cabinet, but...ChelseaThis shoe cabinet fits our small space so well and has made a huge difference in organizing our shoes. However, during construction the screws were too long and caused a couple bulges in the front of the cabinet. Not super noticeable, but disappointing. Be careful during assembly4
Living in a tiny house,ChrisLiving in a tiny house, we needed a place to store shoes that is easy to access. This handsome cabinet fits in behind the door and fits 14 pair of shoes5
good storagemattAssembly was easy but took time. Great for kids shoes and low profile shoes. might be a challenge or tight fit for taller shoes or boots. Mine did not come with wall mounting hardware but I already had screws to use for that.4
Quality better than expected. EasyEleniQuality better than expected. Easy to assemble just follow instructions! Purchasing another one once back in stock!5
Exactly what I imaginedAbigail r.I am surprised on the quality amd the outcome of the shoe storage. I took it out from the box and learned that all the pieces came out in really good shape no damages or scratches. It is perfect size for the space I imagined it will be placed. The only con is that the shoe storage is a little bit off when you put in men's shoe. I can only fit 2 pairs of my husband's shoes (size 11).4
Amazing Technology Charging StationLeslie T.We repurposed this beautiful shoe storage cabinet after looking for phone and laptop charging stations on Pinterest. This fits perfectly in our hallway nook. Run the cords up the back and the laptops and technology are stored inside. It hides all the mess!5
Size mattersstevenI found this product to be handy in my situation in a small apartment. However, I wish that the depth of the pull-out storage door was a bit deeper. With my size 11 shoe, I must place the shoes on an angle to close the doors. This limits the number of shoes I can store in the unit.4
Very difficult to assembleMaryLouThis is a great idea of a produce, however it would be much popular if it came assemble, as it is very difficult to follow the instructions for assembly.2
RecommendYun Y.Easy to install, perfect for small space room. it can organize up to 18 shoes5
I love this cabinet. IginaI love this cabinet. I finally have an organized entry way. No shoes piled up at the door!5
Control!ReneeAttractive and functional. The assembly was easy until the installation of the drawers. Those were a bit of a challenge.5
excellenceTracyI've purchased two of these. My husband and I have a lot of dvds and cds and storage for them was always, "dorm room," so I purchased these and instead of shoes, I'm using them to hold dvds and cds. It keeps them handy and in a beautiful cabinet that looks great in my den and home office.5
Very niceKaterynaVery nice5
Overall a good buyDIANA R.I wanted a more organized way to store shoes in the garage, and this looks nice and does the trick overall. One of the drawer fronts was a little damaged in the corner, probably occurred during transport to the store. I didn't want to go back to the store over a small issue, and given it's future home residing in a garage, I just used it as the lower drawer and called it a day. The only real issue I have with this style of shoe storage is that certain boots and large men's sneakers (size 11), do not fit in this unit; you can't close the drawer. I've modified one drawer by eliminating the center divide, and just storing 2 pairs of larger items in there. So it works, but if you want to store a lot of shoes, this probably isn't the best option for you.4
Getting my shoes off the floor.LisaI love this for organizing my shoes. It can hold shoes or boots and it is so nice to have my shoes not all around the doorway!5
Brusali Shoe storageCherylVery easily put together. Sturdy. Holds all my shoes. Love it!5
Love this...ReneeWe love the IKEA shoe storage cabinets. This one fit behind our front door perfectly. It holds a lot of shoes. I love the shelf to put thing in. The color is beautiful. Now if I can just get my guys to put their shoes in it. Only issue was 2 nails were a smidge too long and created a bulge in the wood doors. But it’s only noticeable if you really look for them. Just take your time screwing them in, and it won’t bulge.5

it works the way IEkaterinait works the way I expected5
Product Quite Functional Inst. nosomuchBabette M.This product is functioning exactly as I wanted. I like it. It works in my laundry/mud room. Contains the many shoes usually there. As usual crummy IKEA picture directions. Pieces not labeled. Jeez the idea of easy assembly is elusive. You could be winners if your directions were complete, thoughtful and combined words and pictures.5

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA, we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

Material

What is particleboard?

Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill waste – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a valuable resource instead of being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look. The day your sofa or bed needs replacing, the material in the particleboard can be recycled into something entirely new.
