sleekTall SallyI bought HALLAN storage about a month ago. I decided to use combine them differently than shown and it looks sleeker and more expensive than I was expecting. I bought two large units, set them side by side & added two smaller units on top of each, all doors opening from the middle. Having the doors open this way (rather than each one being pulled open in the same direction) gives it more of a cabinet look than locker room. The design and finish are simple enough that it works in my living room while placed away from the heart of the room's sofas and chairs. We use one to keep our shoes, the rest are used so each family member has their own to stash their bags, covid mask, ect. This purchase turned out better than I was expecting. Setting it up wasn't difficult----just pay close attention to the holes on the section where you hang the door to make sure that you have it swing open the direction you want.4
Great ProductSherman RegoAfter opened the package, I was puzzled how to put it together since there’s only a few small screws. Then I was very impressed by its design. The assembly was simple yet the product is solid and looks great. Very happy with the purchase!5
Fabulous once you decipher the (AWFUL!) directionsellysbellyThe GOOD: GREAT storage solution for my mud room-- the kids' backpacks fit in the smaller units, along with their shoes and a hoodie or coat (we didn't install the shelves in the smaller lockers, to allow for enough room backpacks). LOVE that they're magnetic, so I can put reminders and notes on the outside (or inside!) of the doors and the kids can personalize them. They're lockable, too (you need to purchase a lock, one's not integrated). These, once assembled and attached to the wall, are sturdy and seem as though they'll stand the test of time. We're going to add two more tall units on top for storage. Wish that there were accessories that came along with these (as add-ons), such as interior hooks and organizers (other than the interior shelves). The BAD: IKEA's directions are often, at best, like bad hieroglyphics-- but these were particularly awful. My husband and I are both very handy-- and though our marriage has weathered a LOT in 18 years, assembling these units almost did us in (kidding, sorta). Like most IKEA installs, once you get it down, you can install it in 5 minutes, flat. Since this is a newer item, there aren't yet any youtube videos to help you get through the learning curve-- I would have created one, but didn't think of it until afterwards.5
