One fatal flawRypyIt would be a perfect bowl- pleasing shape, sufficient wall thickness without making the bowl too heavy. However, the base is way too tiny. It’s a 2” base on a super round bowl, so it takes almost nothing to tip it/roll it. It’s fine for salads but i wouldnt want to put anything liquidy in it for this reason. Im bummed because other than this flaw, it’s my perfect bowl in size and shape.3
Terribly disappointedSKC1I ordered two Belinda Serving Bowles, plus other items. When I received the bowls, I discovered the diameter of their basis to be much smaller, and they are about half the weight/thickness of the same bowls I've purchased in the past. I have used these bowls for many years as dog food & water dishes for my pups. Belinda Bowles purchased in the past were perfect with their wide basis and heavyweight. Even my bulldog was able to use it without pushing it across the floor. Shipping time for these bowls was more than two months. I understand the virus has slowed things down in our country, but two months to ship in stock items within my state of California is ridiculous. CA did not force the closure of distribution centers. Amazon's California shipments came the next day. In addition to the bowls I ordered six Tekla dish towels @$ .79. Of course IKEA only sent five. When you can't shop in the IKEA store, IKEA's service, ethics, and website is unacceptable.2

Material

What is glass?

Glass is mainly made of sand, soda, and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.
