The dark wooden expression with visible grain pattern creates a warm, tactile feeling. It makes a statement but is easy to combine with other furniture in the room.

The drawers are protected from water damage thanks to a smart production technique. Foil is wrapped vertically around the particleboard so there are no unprotected edges where water can penetrate.

Cleaning the floor is a breeze since this solution is wall mounted and there are no legs that get in the way.

The smooth-running drawers with pull-out stop, open all the way for a good overview without falling out.

You can sense the calm every time you close the drawers thanks to the soft-closing mechanism. No worries about fingers getting trapped.

The deep bottom drawer has space for larger things like towels and hairdryer. The top drawer is suitable for smaller items like brushes, creams, sprays and accessories.

You can make good use of the space inside the drawers thanks to the smart design of the water trap that leads the piping into the far back of the cabinet.

The simple construction makes the drawers easy to assemble.

Smooth, durable and easy-to-clean ceramic sink with space for toothbrushes, soap dispenser and other smaller things on the wide edges.

You save water and energy every time you lift the lever of the faucet thanks to the aerator device that prevents unnecessary use of water.

i like the way theDouglasi like the way the system has minimized the amount of plumbing and maximized drawer space.5
Great VanityJuanG22Great Vanity. For all floating vanities unless you have a concrete block wall you need to reinforce the wall before installing it. Attach the vanity only to the studs even though they are wood is not enough. Or you can use legs...5
Nice looking vanity - Very bad mounting designredingtonrayDesigner, you wiffed on the mounting design of this cabinet. There are 4 tabs in the back corners for mounting directly to a wall to give the vanity a floating, or cantilevered appearance. the tabs are approx 39 inches apart horizontally. Wall studs are 16 inches apart in construction. It's impossible to have the brackets attached to two wall studs simultaneously. So, unless you have unlimited space to mount the unit and don't have to worry about it being off center, you can mount the tabs from one side to a at least one stud only. Because of the size of the bathroom I have, (and wanting the vanity to be centered on the wall) I had to forgo the tabs and drill and insert lag bolts through the upper back of the unit and into the wall studs that are 16 apart. Here's the big problem with that: there's only one cross bar that you can mount this thing to the wall with and it is about 4 inches below the top of the cabinet in the rear ( and it is pretty much just particle board with a vinyl veneer attached to the sides with only 4 cams and and a couple of dowels). Soooo when the extremely heavy sink is attached to the top of the vanity it actually pulls the sink away from the wall at the top. I tried construction adhesive but the vanity and sink were way too heavy. So, I'm going to have to order the legs that go on the front to support this monster from falling off the wall. If I knew I would have to use legs I wouldn't have bought this in the first place and would have went with a different manufacturer with a better mounting design. So, If you are buying this, you better go ahead and order two legs along with it because you will need them. I don't see any way around it. I also have to modify the plumbing in the bathroom to use this but that's just bad luck on where this thing mounts and not IKEA's fault.2

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA, we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

Material

What is particleboard?

Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill waste – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a valuable resource instead of being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look. The day your sofa or bed needs replacing, the material in the particleboard can be recycled into something entirely new.
