Kitchen Measurement Service
Need help measuring your kitchen? Our measurement technician will visit you to measure your space and document the dimensions. Please be sure to schedule your measurement appointment at least one (1) week before your planning appointment so the measurements can be shared with your IKEA kitchen expert. The fee for your measurement will be applied as a discount upon the purchase of a professional IKEA Installation.
During your measurement appointment, your technician will:
- Take photos of your space
- Determine the room dimensions
- Confirm walls are plumb and corners are square
- Document the location of plumbing & electrical

Free Kitchen Planning Service
Our free kitchen planning service includes an in-store or online consultation with a professional IKEA kitchen planner. The IKEA kitchen planner tool can help bring your ideal kitchen to life. You will get a 3D layout of your kitchen and a parts list to make ordering easier. Before your appointment you will need measurements of your existing kitchen and a completed Kitchen Planning Checklist, which you can access online after booking your appointment. We also offer free plan verifications if you prefer to create a layout yourself using our IKEA Home Planner tool.
Online planning: If you live in the continental U.S., you can make an appointment now to meet online with a professional planner from the comfort of your home. This appointment lasts up to 90 minutes.
Realizing
Kitchen Installation Service
Services update regarding COVID-19: Professional kitchen installers in all IKEA service areas are available to assemble and install your new kitchen in accordance with local regulations and hygiene practices. IKEA partners with Traemand, a preferred kitchen services provider, to connect you with local, professional kitchen installers that are licensed, insured and warranty their work for 5 years post-completion on IKEA-supplied kitchen products.
After you have completed the kitchen planning process, you will receive an itemized installation price quote for your new kitchen.
