Furniture for Your Home
They say a house doesn’t make a home. Well, that’s wholeheartedly true, because YOU do. Your home is an extension of yourself, and your furniture should support that!
That’s why a sideboard isn’t just soulless storage. It’s a collector of memories. Where you keep precious souvenirs from your travels, and photos of your family. A kitchen shelf isn’t necessarily just for keeping utensils, but also a window into your culture and identity, keeping all the spices, cookbooks and decorations that make up your taste.

Elevate Your Furniture Style
We have made it our purpose to have a wide range of affordable furniture available in different styles that complement your home including modern, traditional, farmhouse, bohemian, and nautical. All to make sure you, and your personality, can truly shine through in all aspects of your home.
There are so many styles that you can combine and create the aesthetic look you want. How do you know what style works for you? It all goes back to how you want your home to reflect who YOU are! Are you in the city and want a more modern sleek minimalist look maybe in black and white? Or maybe you live more on the shore and prefer a coastal nautical look that could include wicker furniture with navy blue and yellow color tones. You’ve come to the right place, IKEA has it all.
Sustainable Furniture Materials/Textures
Today, 60% of our products use renewable materials. Our goal is that all our materials will be renewable or recycled by 2030. Over the years, we’ve made it easier than ever to find affordable home furnishings that are better for the environment. Learn more about prolonging the life of your furniture here.
Wood
Wood is the material most associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. We love working with wood not only because it’s part of our Scandinavian design heritage – wood is an excellent material from a design, quality and environmental perspective, if it comes from responsibly managed forests. Wood is also durable, renewable, recyclable – and beautiful. Since 2017, 100% of the wood we source from countries with a history of challenges related to forest management, comes from more sustainable sources.
Leather
Our coated fabric is durable, lower priced, yet with the same look and feel. And they’re both tested and approved for tear strength, flexibility and color fastness, so you can enjoy these sofas for many years. They’re also very easy to clean and maintain to keep it lasting in mint condition.
Cotton
Cotton is found in many of our IKEA products such as sofas, cushions, pillows, mattresses, and bed sheets. We made a promise to only work with those that grow cotton in a responsible way, not with any organizations that harm the environment or the people that work there. Our cotton is sustainable, so it’s either recycled or grown with smaller amounts of water or chemicals and fertilizers.
The potential to repurpose, repair, reuse, resell or recycle will be built in to all our products by 2030. Learn more about our sustainable furniture.

Create a cozy space in your living room
Many of our homely hours are spent in the center of our homes: the living room. Endless movie and tv series marathons in front of the TV or late-night gatherings with friends and family you’ll need a furniture arrangement that is suited to all those activities. Consider the space you must work with along with the style you picture in that space.
If you have a larger living room, why not go all-in with a big sofa, and make the room into more of a family room for guests and entertainment. Add a matching coffee table, an armchair for extra seating and a plant for additional decor. This will help you create a special nook that is stylish yet practical and a comfortable space for your friends and family to enjoy.
If you live in a smaller space, you might want to fit even more kinds of living inside your living room. You could create a space that can be versatile where you can relax, where your guests can stay, or an office to work. Furniture pieces that would work great to accommodate all these options is a sleeper sofa, coffee table or bookshelf with storage, an ottoman instead of a bulky chair, a desk for your workspace and to finish the look a rug or home décor to give the room more personality.
The core of your bedroom
The bed is destined to be at the center of the bedroom, after all we do spend a third of our life sleeping. But our well-being and ability to get a good night’s sleep is not entirely dependent on the bed. The overall interior and feel are equally important, as you want the bedroom to be a calm and soothing place, a safe space for you to relax and enjoy. IKEA offers a variety of colors, materials, and textiles to achieve your desired look.
We suggest adding a soft carpet so, your feet can land on something plush in the mornings. Use layered curtains for that hotel feel, with light fabrics for privacy, as well as heavy ones for dim-out and sleep. Paint the walls in a peaceful subtle color. Darker ones are immensely popular and will help you relax, making it easier to fall asleep. Try adding elements of wood for a peaceful impression, like racks for your robe and clothes, or bedside tables. Keeping this space de-cluttered will not only help with a peace of mind, but better sleep. Try adding additional storage to keep your room looking tidy and you are on your way to catching some ZZZ’s.

The heart of the kitchen
Many believe the kitchen to be the heart of the home. And we agree! It’s where creativity and ingredients come together to prepare delicious meals, where families gather throughout the day and night to spend quality time and bond. It's where memories are created, enjoying hot breakfasts, romantic dinners, and hazy, cheerful home parties. So how do you make sure your kitchen is as hearty as your memories? By creating something that you genuinely love.
Did you know that you can buy appliances at IKEA? To be able to prep and cook without any hassle, you need the standard kitchen setup consisting of a cooktop, range, an oven, a fridge and freezer, microwave, as well as a range hood. You’ll want to consider sizing to make sure it fits in the space you have and the style you want whether it’s Stainless steel, black stainless steel, or white.
And to complete the kitchen, get those colorful and dashing kitchen cabinets that you have always dreamed of. Or that elegant and slick ceramic countertop. Carefully choose those handles, faucets, and sinks that go perfect together. Put up that brass-colored kitchen backsplash that you were afraid might be a little too much. It really does not matter what you choose if it reflects you!
